One of the things the cookie business has educated me in is the fact that folks are enthusiastic about their Chocolate cookies in most of these variations!

Discussions in what types of cookies people like, Peanut Butter, Snickerdoodle, and Oatmeal Raisin are fine however, if we talk about these cookies the discussions never get as heated as they do once we discuss the Chocolate Chip Cookie.

American original, this cookie was invented by the proprietor from the Toll House Inn of Whitman Massachusetts inside the 1930's, Ruth Wakefield created this menu item in order to satisfy the sweet tooth of her guests. Years later she'd create a cookbook Toll House Tried and True Recipes that included her recipe for Toll House Chocolate Crunch Cook that was soon being baked by housewives throughout the country.

The debate rages over which is better, thick or thin, chewy or crisp, big or little, people have their personal preference. I like a chewy one though crisp outer edges, the very best of both worlds in my opinion. But whether you want them crunchy or soft there is certainly sure to be considered a cookie which has the right texture to suit your needs.

Not merely Chips

The chocolate chip cookie may be transformed into more kinds of products than every other cookie. It may have started with only chocolate, these days variations include sweet morsels, Reese's Pieces, M&M's, walnuts are often included with the dough to offer them a bit of crunch, or maybe Macadamia nuts. Chocolate and Peanut Butter can be a classic combination so why not Peanut Butter Chocolate cookies?

Can't stand a cookie, turn them into a bar and lets call the Chocolate Morsel Bar Cookies baked in a brownie pan!

What about a large cookie? There's this like a 12 inch diameter, 27 ounce monster cookie that might feed an entire children's party, a treadmill really, really hungry cookie monster.

A flavor that individuals get asked to produce a lot is Oatmeal Chocolate Chip, and that we have a customer that LOVES his Oatmeal Walnut Chocolate Chip cookies.

What were only available in a little country Inn is continuing to grow into something remarkable although there are many variations of this American classic one thing is perfect for sure...we love to our Chocolate cookies in most of the forms. What is your favorite?
